Who Should Attend
After completing the 7 Modules, this case-based, one-day workshop gives a director a variety of opportunities to apply what has been learned about governance “in theory”.
The workshop is divided into 2 parts:
Part 1: Focuses on the 6 cases drawn from modules 2 through 7.
Part 2: Focuses on a comprehensive case study that applies governance concepts and theories to the 6 pillars of the Foundations of Governance model.
By the end of the workshop you will walk away with a toolbox of skills and resources that you can draw upon as you carry out your director responsibilities with confidence.
You will learn about:
The board’s and each director’s responsibility to create and protect value for stakeholders
Specific responsibilities in the areas of financial literacy, asset liability management, credit union performance monitoring, and legal basics
