Who Should Attend
This half-day course is about performance management for both boards and individual directors. The course initially focuses its lens on “the job” of the board and “the job” of being a director and from there, the competencies (knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes) those jobs require. With these tools, boards are in a position to evaluate their collective and individual performance and, identify specific needs and gaps. Now the board can proactively respond by developing an appropriate learning and development action plan. This type of systematic approach feeds directly into objective, well founded recruitment and succession strategies. Used consistently, these performance management practices can ensure that the credit union’s board has “the right people, in the right role, with the right skills, at the right time”, not just for now, but for the future.
