Who Should Attend
As a supervisor it’s your responsibility to understand what diversity is, and to ensure an inclusive environment for your team. How can you create a more diverse environment? How do you ensure stereotypes and biases don’t cloud your judgement? What steps can you take to break down barriers that you and your team face so each person can contribute equally? This session will focus on creating a positive, inclusive work environment by showing how active listening and effective questioning techniques can be used to build respectful relationships. We’ll explore positive ways to handle team conflict that is the result of discrimination or biases and provide you insights on how to effectively handle a diversity complaint.
